Mrs. Prabha Williams was born and raised in Sri Lanka. After receiving her High School Diploma, she was a private tutor for three years. She specialized in Mathematics and English subjects for children from grades 1st through 10th in Sri Lanka.
In 1993 she got married and moved to Canada with her husband David Williams. In Alberta she obtained an Early Childhood Education Certificate from Career College Calgary and taught a toddler class for one year. Mrs. Williams moved to Dallas Texas in 1997 where she acquired her Montessori Primary Teacher Certification from Brookhaven College as well as an Early Childhood Education Certificate from the University of Wisconsin at Stout. In Texas she taught for seven years; two years as an intern and five years as a Lead Teacher at Montessori School of Lascolinas, Irving, TX. In 2005 she moved to Orlando Florida where she attained her American Montessori Society Primary Credential and became the Lead Teacher in the Leopard Room at Montessori World School. Additional specialized training Mrs. Williams has acquired is Childcare and Behavior, Observation and Screening, and Preschool Appropriate Practices and Early Literacy for children from birth to 3 years old. Mrs. Williams also has an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education from Ashworth University, Atlanta, GA.
Mrs. Williams and her husband enjoy traveling all around the world. Her hobby is collecting elephants. Mrs. Williams believes in recognizing each child's individual talent and potential utilizing the Montessori holistic approach.
