Mrs. Newman spoke with Sarah Sanchez, a student from the Panther Room who has been at the school since 2005 to find out how she feels about the school, Montessori, her classmates and even her teachers.
Following are her responses to questions asked March 2012:
Tell me a memorable experience you've had at MWS.
"When I was in the Panda room I loved to garden with my friends. It was really fun."
Do you feel you've missed out on anything by staying at MWS?
"No, the school is really good. I don't think I missed anything."
How do you feel about MWS?
"The school has something in it that makes it a really good school. I've been here all my life and I think it is a really good school."
How do you feel about your classmates?
"Well, some are crazy, some are nice, some are friendly and helpful, my classmates are all different sorts of things. I really enjoy being in class with them."
How do you feel attending a Montessori school has helped you?
"I think it has helped me to find out what I really want to be and it helped me to read and with my handwriting. When I work I feel like I'm an actual Montessori student."
Tell me your feelings about your teachers.
"My teachers help me when I need it. They're nice and give good lessons. Some are really long but some are short but they give them all in a good way"
If you could change one thing about the school what would it be?
"I wish there were more events at the school. I like the events. They're fun."
